As many figs as you have to hand
I split them open, put them in a buttered dish and dribble some liquid honey over them. I then bake them in an oven at @ 180 degrees until they are just beginning to sizzle. Eat these with home made ice cream or custard made with your own hen's eggs!
Or make a pizza, with caramelised onions spread on the base, then scatter sliced figs, walnuts and creamy feta cheese on top.
Or, stew them in a lemony syrup with a vanilla bean and have them with yoghurt and a handful of nuts for breakfast.
