Garden Structures

Structures help to make our gardens accessible, functional and productive. They can determine the shape and size of our gardens, making them easier places to work in and more pleasant places to relax in. Raised beds, pots and planters can be a great solution to poor soil and offer an easy to access productive planting area. Pathways get us around our gardens in all weathers. Fences, walls and screens mark out different garden areas and can provide security and shelter. Cloches and greenhouses help plants to grow productively avoiding many pests and beating the worst of the weather. Compost bins and wormeries are invaluable for recycling and nourishing soil. As well as being practical items, the structures we choose can be part of the visual enjoyment we get from our gardens.
